The City of Seadrift is currently addressing a serious issue involving damage to both private property and public infrastructure caused by work performed by Linetec, a contractor hired by AEP.
We have received multiple reports from residents regarding large trucks and equipment traveling across yards and city streets, resulting in significant damage to roads and personal property. Despite previous calls made to address this matter, the situation has escalated, and citizens are now bringing their concerns directly to City Hall.
In response, the City will dispatch our Public Works Department to inspect all affected locations. They will assess the extent of the damage and determine the cost of necessary repairs.
We are committed to resolving this issue promptly and ensuring accountability. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this process.
